Signs From Oblivion

Farm Security Administration building
U.S. Route 181, Karnes City, Texas, May 2002

One that has disappeared from my repertoire.  Actually, I don't think I should have dropped it in the first place.

Signs From Oblivion

U.S. Route 181, Falls City, Texas, May 2002

An Exxon, previously Esso, station that was closed and abandoned long before I showed up on a hot and humid Texas afternoon to capture this image on my Pentax Auto 110.  I wonder what ghosts haunt these desolate places of business no more.

Happy Easter

U.S. Route 181, Floresville, Texas, April 2002

Easter is a time of resurrection and spiritual renewal.  Which reminds me:  I have a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere in the garage that needs some renewal before it's road ready.  I need to flush and replace the coolant, juice up the tires, change the oil, and give it a tune-up.

But first, to spend the day with my kids on a long bicycle ride and picnic at the park in Pine Island.  It is a great time to take up those New Year's resolutions we dropped, and mine is to spend as much time with my kids as I can.
